South Korea disputes Trump’s remarks on trade, missile defense system(FOX NEWS)

South Korea announced Friday that it has no plans to renegotiate a bilateral trade deal with the U.S. or to pay for the U.S. missile defense system being deployed in the region, disputing recent remarks made by President Donald Trump.

In an interview with Reuters news agency Thursday, Trump said that he plans to fix the “horrible” bilateral trade deal with South Korea and that he would also make them pay $1 billion for the THAAD missile defense system.

Woo Taehee, South Korea’s vice trade minister, said the country was not notified of any trade renegotiation and that there had been “no pre-talks” with the U.S. regarding the five-year-old trade deal.           CONTINUE READING HERE
